Who is this course for
The first part of the course is intended for all team members who may care for pregnant, laboring, and post-partum women who need to diagnose rapidly at any level of the health system.
The second part builds the capacity of skilled birth attendants to provide high quality care for ongoing management of the pre-eclamptic or eclamptic woman.
What they will learn
- Correct assessment and classification of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.
- Administration of loading and maintenance doses of magnesium sulfate (MgS04) and anti-hypertensive medications.
- Management of convulsions.
